There is a such a wide variety of pricing in the makeup industry these days, from the $1 makeup from ShopMissA.com to Tom Ford’s incredibly priced luxury items.
I have to tell ya though, drugstore brands are coming through ya’ll. I’ve never been more surprised by the quality and performance of products coming from drugstore brands.
Quite a few of them have even found themselves in my “can’t be without” pile.
Here is a compilation of products from the drugstore that I use on a very regular basis and ones that I certainly will not find myself without.NYX Basked Blush
1. Makeup Revolution Cut Crease Canvas
This product has literally changed the way I cut creases. If you love the look of a sharp cut crease, this product really is a must grab.
The applicator is the perfect compact brush tip that glides the product smoothly around the curve of your crease. No need to grab an extra brush.
It does dispense a ton of product with one dip so I wipe the majority of the excess product off before applying.
2. Catrice Dewy Glow Fixing Spray
The queen of all setting sprays! I am 100% forever in love with this product.
It is the perfect, perfect, perfect setting spray if you want a naturally dewy finish.
Since my skin has transitioned from being excessively oily to moderately dry from Accutane, I have tried quite a few dewy sprays.
Most contain shimmery particles that leave a glittery residue on your skin. Don’t get me wrong, I do love glitter. But that’s not quite the look I’m going for on a daily basis.
The Catrice spray has almost an irridescent formula that when spritzed on the face, leaves behind a gorgeously natural illuminating glow.
I literally cannot get enough of this spray. You have to try it!
3. Ulta Juice Infused Lip Oil
Lip products are easily my least favorite makeup products. I tend to lean more towards clear or glittery glosses over liquid lipsticks.
As far as clear glosses go, the Ulta Lip Oils take the cake. They smell deliciously fruity and give a high gloss appearance without feeling too sticky or leaving a residue as it dries.
Ulta often times has a BOGO 50% off sale on their branded products which is the perfect time to snag a few of these.
4. NYX Matte Liquid Liner
The NYX Matte Liner is so so easy to work with. The bristle applicator bends beautifully to help create a sharp wing with minimal effort.
I love how black the formula is and glides well over any eyeshadow, even glitters to create a bold line.
This liner is a great pick for anyone who is knew at wings or just needs more practice because it is very easy to use and very forgiving.
5. E.L.F. Hydrating Camo Concealer
When E.L.F. dropped their Camo Concealer, it took over the beauty industry almost instantly. While I did really enjoy the formula, I found it a little bit drying so when they launched a hydrating formula, I was all on it.
I wouldn’t say this concealer has the most radiant finish, but it does look natural and doesn’t crease easily, which I can really appreciate.
The coverage is a little less than the original formula which was very full coverage. I would say the coverage is a solid medium.
This concealer looks beautiful under the eyes and also wears well when used to highlight the center of the face.
There we have it! My top 5 drugstore picks that I cannot live without.
